Authentic Mexican Carnitas Recipe
- 4 lb pork shoulder
- 3 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 large onion (chopped)
- 2 jalapenos (chopped)
- 8 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 cup orange juice
Carnitas Rub Recipe
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
- 1 tbsp cumin
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Pat the pork shoulder dry, then coat with the salt and pepper. Combine the ingredients for the rub and rub all over the pork shoulder. Place the pork shoulder in the slow cooker, fat cap facing up.
