The perfect blend of chicken and vegetables in a creamy broth and baked to perfection. Great for groups and always a family favorite!

Ingredients

  • 5 tbsp butter ((salted))
  • 3 garlic cloves ((minced))
  • 1 1/2 lbs chicken ( (rotisserie, shredded))
  • 1 cup celery ((chopped))
  • 2 cups frozen peas and carrots
  • 1 cup yellow onion ((chopped))
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp thyme
  • 1 cup chicken broth (chicken stock)
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 cups half & Half (or heavy cream)
  • 1/4 cup parsley ((chopped))
  • 1 pie crust ((store bought))

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 425F.
  • In a large saucepan, at medium heat add 5 tablespoons of butter until melted. Once the butter is melted, sauté the minced garlic. Add in the onion, stirring until just caramelized. Then add the chicken, celery, peas and carrots, salt, black pepper thyme. Stir until entire mixture is coated in butter. Slowly add in the flour, then the broth, then the cream. Stir until the sauce thickens. Once the sauce has thickened, stir in the parsley. Set the mixture aside and allow to cool for 25-30 minutes.
  • Once cooled, spoon the mixture into the prepared pie shell, spreading evenly. Place the pie crust on top of the mixture. Using your thumb and forefinger, pinch the edge of the top crust all the way around the edge of the bottom crust. With a sharp knife, cut four slits into the center of the pie.
  • Bake in the oven on a baking sheet at 425F for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Cool for 30 minutes before serving.

By far the BEST traditional chili recipe that reminds you of home. This is a family favorite that warms your soul and makes exceptional leftovers that are quick and easy!

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp olive oil (with optional red chili pepper flakes)
  • 5 garlic cloves (crushed)
  • 1 1/2 cups red onion (chopped)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tbsp cumin
  • 1 1/2 tbsp red chili powder (adjust for spice preference)
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 29oz can of diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 15oz can of black beans (drained)
  • 32oz can of kidney beans (drained)
  • 3 serrano peppers (chopped)
  • 1 1/2 cups sweet peppers
  • 29oz can of tomato sauce
  • 1 small tub sour cream (for topping)
  • 1 small bag shredded cheese (for topping)
  • 1 bunch cilantro (chopped) (for topping)

Instructions 

  • In a large pot, over medium heat the olive oil and minced garlic for about 2 minutes. Once heated, add onions and stir until they caramelize and become semi-translucent which takes about 5 minutes.
  • Add the ground beef into the mixture and mix well until cooked through.
  • Add in the serrano peppers, black beans, kidney beans, cumin, red chili powder, and garlic powder. Once mixed, add in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low heat to medium low cover and simmer for 25-35 minutes.
  • Serve by topping with scoop of sour cream, shredded cheese, and chopped cilantro.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef ((cooked and drained))
  • 4 cups marinara sauce
  • 5 cups ricotta cheese ((whole milk))
  • 2 1/2 cups parmesan cheese ((grated))
  • 3 tbsp fresh parsley ((chopped))
  • 3 tbsp fresh basil ((chopped))
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil ((extra virgin))
  • 3 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese ((shredded))
  • 15 lasagna sheets (noodles)

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • In a large saucepan, cook 1 lb of ground beef over medium high heat until cooked through and is no longer pink. Drain well.
  • Mix the prepared beef with 4 cups of marinara sauce to make your meat sauce. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, parmesan, fresh parsley, basil, salt, black pepper, and olive oil and set aside.
  • In your lasagna baking dish, spread a thing layer of the marinara and meat mixture on the bottom. Place 3 lasagna noodles lengthwise in the dish to create a layer of pasta. Spread enough ricotta mixture to cover the noodles, then add a layer of the fresh mozzarella cheese. Repeat these layers until you’re out of mixture. (*This recipe uses no boil lasagna noodles. If you have noodles that require boiling, fill a large pot with hot water and boil them for the recommended time. Then rinse the noodles in cool water before layering)
  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25-30 minutes at 350F, then uncover and broil on low for 1-2 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups bread flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 large ripe bananas
  • 1 stick butter ((melted))
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts ((optional))

Instructions 

  • Preheat your oven to 350F.
  • Spray your loaf pan with a nonstick spray and set aside.
  • In a large bowl whisk together the flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon and set aside.
  • In a second large bowl with the melted butter, add bananas and mash with a fork until you have well mashed bananas. Add in the vanilla extract and egg. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients. Mix together until just combined.
