Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter softened
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 4 1/4 cups powdered sugar

Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl, add in the softened butter and cream cheese. Using an electric mixer on high beat the butter and cream cheese until thoroughly combined and smooth. Once smooth, add the vanilla extract and salt, ensuring that this is also thoroughly combined. Set the electric mixer to low. Slowly add in small amounts of the powdered sugar, about 1/3 of a cup at a time until it is completely combined into the mixture. Use to frost cupcakes or cakes.
