- 6 large russet potatoes
- 2 tbsp butter (melted)
- salt (pinch)
- black pepper (pinch)
Preheat the oven to 425F and line a baking sheet with foil. With a dinner fork, poke each potato 15-20 times on all sides and place on the baking sheet. Bake for 25 minutes.
Then, brush the outside of the potatoes with the melted butter and sprinkle generously with salt. Place the potatoes back on the baking sheet reverse side up before baking an additional 25 minutes. Once the potatoes are soft, slice halfway lengthwise, sprinkle with pepper and serve immediately with your toppings of choice (butter, salt, pepper, sour cream, chives, bacon bits, etc!)
