This bread pudding recipe is super easy to make and only calls for a few simple ingredients that are probably sitting in your pantry. This bread pudding comes out crispy on top and soft and moist in the middle for the perfect combination!

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread (day-old)
  • 3 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 4 eggs (beaten)
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions 

  • Preheat the oven to 350F. Cube the French bread and place into a baking dish and coat with the melted butter and sprinkle with raisins.
  • Then, in a medium sized mixing bowl, combine the eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon and vanilla then pour over the bread. Lightly push down the bread with a fork to ensure that it completely soaks up the egg mixture.
  • Bake in the oven for 45 minutes. Serve warm as is or with vanilla ice cream.
