This quick and easy garlic butter shrimp scampi is absolutely delicious and done in about 10 minutes! Tender shrimp in a white wine garlic butter sauce with red pepper flakes for just a hint of spice. Tastes amazing alone, or on a bed of fresh pasta or zucchini noodles. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 8 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 1/4 lbs large shrimp (shelled)
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes ((use 1 tsp if you like it spicy))
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • salt (to taste)
  • pepper (to taste)
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley (chopped)

Instructions

  • Start by heating both olive oil and 2 tbsp of butter in a large skillet over med heat to melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and stir until semi translucent then add the shrimp. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper to taste and saute for 2 to minutes on one side then flip each shrimp over to cook the other side.
  • Carefully pour in the white wine, add red pepper flakes, bring to a simmer for 2-3 minutes or until the shrimp is cooked through and the wine is reduced by about half.
  • Gently mix in the remaining butter, lemon juice, and parsley and stir to coat evenly. Serve immediately.
