- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (thinly sliced)
- 1 white onion (thinly sliced)
- 3 bell peppers (thinly sliced)
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 lime
Fajita Seasoning
- 1/2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp cumin
- 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
In a small bowl, whisk together the fajita seasoning ingredients until well combined and set aside.
Next, liberally season the chicken breasts on both sides with the seasoning, pressing it into the chicken. Once the chicken has been seasoned, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium to medium-high heat. Sear the chicken breast slices for about 8 minute per side, or until they get a golden brown crust. Once the chicken has finished cooking, set aside.
Add the bell peppers and onions to the skillet and saute until cooked thoroughly. Once cooked, add the chicken back into the skillet and toss everything together. Squeeze half the lime juice over everything. Serve the fajitas with tortillas, sour cream, avocado, and any other desired toppings.
